Introducing Whole House Audio Systems

Whole house audio system allows people to play music throughout their home. This system also known as distributed audio. The systems are installed throughout a building. There are three main categories of whole audio system. The categories are multiple source and multiple zone, single source and single zone, single source and multiple zone.

Single Source and Single Zone System

Single source and single zone is the most simple system among the three of systems. This system will distribute the same audio throughout the building and every room linked to the audio will receive the same sound and music. Single source and single zone only required one amplifier, an audio source and speakers.

Single Source and Multiple Zone System

This system is similar to the single source and single zone. The different between this system is that each room linked to the main audio source has volume control installed. But still, like the first system, all the room linked must listen to the same audio.

Multiple Source and Multiple Zone System

The third system is more advanced and flexible, and expensive too. The system allows the user to choose a different audio source from different zones independently. Independent audio amplifier is needed for each speaker and each audio source.

A whole house audio system doesn’t need special speakers. Any kind of speakers can be used. It is usually hidden in-wall or in-ceiling speakers.

Whole house audio system can be use in outdoors setting effectively by camouflaged speakers as rock or hidden by landscaping.
