Home Audio Stereo Amplifier

Buying an amplifier is a little bit difficult, because there are  so many types and brands of different amplifier sold in the market. You can not wrong in choosing which type of amplifier you buy because it will not provide sound effects as you want.

Amplifier is a device used to improve the sound quality of your audio speakers. This equipment working by copying the original signal amplifier and then raise it a few times to produce a louder  and more comfortable sound to hear. A good amplifier is one that has ability to avoid distortion as much as possible and avoid the additional noise that can decrease the sound quality of your home theater.

If you want to buy an amplifier, we recommend you to buy a power amplifier. Power amplifiers can be used with other preamplifier and will provide better sound quality for home theater speaker system. In addition you should first know the difference between a tube amplifier and a solid-state amplifier.

You need to check the speaker system first before deciding to buy the amplifier. You need to know the maximum and minimum power of your speakers. Also you need to check the specifications of the minimal speaker impedance. You should be able to ensure that the amplifier you are going to buy is compatible with the speakers you have. If your speakers have a rate below 4 ohms, you should not choose the tube amplifier. This will cause you to frequently change the tubes because they do not match with your speakers. So it’s important to know your speaker requirements so that the amplifier you buy is according to the speakers you have.

Before you buy an amplifier, you should compare several amplifier models  available in market. You should also consider the quality of your sound system. By the time you tried an amplifier you should bring an album that could challenge the capacity of the amplifier such as bass, treble, sound staging and imaging. Including  the dynamic range  capabilities of these amplifiers. Beside, that you also have to buy an amplifier that meet your budget . Likewise, the warranty and service after purchased .

To be able to know the quality of an amplifier you need to read some magazines that write about the amplifier. You also need to look at the electronics store and ask a few friends. Thus you will gain more knowledge so you can make a better decision.

Pure Amplifier Design for Incomparable Quality

Denon Amplifier With 150 W x 10 channels (8 ohms) or 300 W (4 ohms) x 10 channels, the Denon POA-A1HDCI amplifier is capable of driving low-impedance speakers. With fully separated construction for all ten channels and separate winding in each power circuit in a pure mono-block design with shortened audio signal paths, you’re assured of ensuring complete consistency even at room-shattering peak performance. A Direct Mechanical Ground design minimizes mechanical vibration from the eight individual transformers and radiators, eliminating mechanical noise in your home theater setup. The main power unit for the power amp is configured of four large transformers dedicated to the power amp section, large-capacity block capacitors, and large-capacity rectifying diodes, to provide a stable supply of current from the main power supply block. This highly reliable current allows listeners to freely enjoy high-quality sound even during dynamic playback of surround sound or multi-channel sources. The power unit also has two independent pairs of large transformers, one for each stereo channel, and each channel is independently configured from a secondary coil on each transformer to suppress interference between circuits and ensure superior sound quality.

Designed to Take Full Advantage of the Matching Denon AVP-A1HDCI

Denon Amplifier AVP-A1HDCI with 10 pre-amp channels is equipped with a power amp assignment function capable of taking efficient advantage of the POA-A1HDCI’s power amp to support a variety of situations in the listening environment. Since the 10 speaker terminals can be freely assigned to any channel, the combination of one AVP-A1HDCI and a POA-A1HDCI permits the enjoyment of home theater entertainment in a variety of environments. The front channels can also be used as a bi-amp, or as a bridged connection for higher power output through a single channel. You could also purchase two POA-A1HDCI power amps to bridge-connect 10 output channels that would let you enjoy incredible dynamism on the level of a movie theater.

Control Link Allows POA-A1HDCI and AVP-A1HDCI to Be Configured from One Remote

With the Denon Amplifier POA-A1HDCI, it is possible to switch among XLR, RCA, and OFF for the input signals and among Bi-Amp, NORMAL, and BRIDGE for the types of output, for each channel. The POA-A1HDCI is also equipped with Control Link to enable communication with the AVP-A1HDCI. When connected with a Control Link Cable, these settings can be made using the remote control unit that comes with the AVP-A1HDCI. (When the POA-A1HDCI is used on its own, switches on the rear panel is used to change the settings.)

RCA and XLR Input for Each Channel

Bridged or bi-amp connections are possible by setting a switch on the rear panel that will enable the connection of a 2-channel unit to a single-channel input. Settings are made individually for each channel so that the front and centre channels can be bridged and the surround and back surround channels can be used singly. During linked control from the AVP-A1HDCI, the connection method can be selected from the AVP-A1HDCI’s remote controller.
